Overview

Nora maintains a broad civil litigation practice, with substantial experience in commercial, constitutional, employment, intellectual property, and tort matters.  She has represented plaintiffs and defendants in federal and state courts, as well as AAA and FINRA arbitrations, in all phases of litigation, from pre-filing settlement of disputes and mediation through discovery, motion practice, trial, and judgment enforcement, including successful argument of multiple dispositive motions. Nora is also experienced in appeals, having filed amicus briefs in the Supreme Court and numerous circuit courts.

Nora is a graduate of Yale Law School and holds a Ph.D. in Art History from Stanford and an A.B. from the University of Chicago. She was previously associated with Debevoise & Plimpton and Clarick Gueron Reisbaum.

• Sixth Street Partners, LLC in a trial on its claims for breach of loan and collateral agreements seeking $60+ million in damages.

• Fred Alger Management in alleging fraud, minority shareholder oppression, and breach of contract related to $101 million investment in biotechnology company.

• A patentholder seeking $130+ million in damages from breach of fiduciary duty, fraud, and tortious interference.

• New York State Department of Health in a special proceeding defending it from allegations that its closure of Mt. Sinai Beth Israel violated New York law.

• Zion Williamson in defense of breach of contract claims by his former sports agent.

• Deborah Roberts and Stephen Friedman Fine Art in alleging copyright violations by another artist and defending against defamation claims.
