Overview

Mikaela is a litigator specializing in complex commercial disputes, including class actions, consumer protection, antitrust, and Lanham Act matters. Her practice involves representing a diverse range of clients, including oil and gas, chemical, and major technology and fintech companies. Mikaela has been recognized by the Bar Association of the District of Columbia as a "Young Lawyer of the Year" and is a regular honoree on the D.C. Court of Appeals’ Capital Pro Bono Honor Roll.

Mikaela earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School, a Master of Science from the University of Pennsylvania School of Social Policy and Practice, and a Business Management Certificate from The Wharton School. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and Communication, summa cum laude, from Regis University.

  • A global chemical manufacturing conglomerate in a personal injury MDL and a series of environmental cases for producing PFAS.
  • Plaid, Inc., in connection with a Lanham Act claim brought by PNC Bank, after successful Daubert briefing, settled on the eve of trial when the parties announced an important, forward-looking partnership.
  • Microsoft, in connection with FTC enforcement action seeking to enjoin $68.7 billion merger with Activision-Blizzard, resulting in a successful verdict in the second largest merger trial in history.
  • Altria Group, Inc., in connection with the first government entity bellwether trial brought by the San Francisco Unified School District for Altria’s minority investment in JUUL Labs, Inc., resulting in a global settlement of over 6000 cases just before the defense began its case at trial.
  • A major online retailer, in connection with FTC enforcement seeking to enjoin its acquisition of a cleaning product company.
